Some Functions work, others don't
Amazon prime shipping always is great, received the fryer on time and packaged very nicely. I bought this fryer because i wanted a good large fryer for family fry days which we have at least once a week.
Problems with this unit started right away, one of the smaller baskets that came with it was bent and would not sit right on its resting perch above the grease, beyond that no matter what i did or how i set things the lid to the deep fryer wont fit on top while the baskets are submerged in grease making it nearly useless, this occurs because the slots in the lid are way to straight for the slight V in the handles.
Performance wise however the fryer gets up to temperature rather quickly, and gets to that magic 375 degrees necessary for better frying results (verified with my own thermometer) and recovers quickly from dropping in frozen foods.
If not for the bad basket and lid i would have given this product a 5 stars, however in this price range of...
Cleaning...
This fryer performed perfectly. I purchased this one to replace my old one that didn't come apart for cleaning. This one is easy to take apart for cleaning. However, the edges of the oil tank and lid are VERY SHARP! Take care when washing!!
I'm satisfied with this fry, but not 100% completely satisfied.
This is a good fryer, but it takes about 7 to 10 minutes to heat up, and getting the oil pan out of the casing it sits in is a pain in the arse if you know what I mean.
It cooks nicely, but very slow when it comes to heating up the oil.
Overall, I am pleased with it, but the company needs to makes handles for the oil pan so it will be easier to remove and drain the oil from it, and make it so that the oil heats up within 2 to 5 minutes instead of 7 to 10.
