From a little time with it: gets the job done
Once I figured out how to assemble the product (hint: the convex side of the dye inserts should be facing up, not down), everything worked nicely. It deskins roasted tomatoes for sauce with little effort.

I bought this for my son, and he says it works great! He makes gnocchi (sp?) with it.
my opinion
it's more like a toy. get the electric one instead if you need to process a lot of tomatoes
