Chicago Food Machinery Stainless Steel 10" Deli Meat Slicer

Chef Choice alternative!
Think twice before you buy a chef choice product. 10 minutes of cleaning vs 30 minutes to clean the chef choice. Nice surface finished, will not cut your finger like the Chef Choice. About 50 USD cheaper, will be nicer if it come with Prime shipping!

Happy Chef
I have had three smaller slicers over the passed 20 years but I never enjoyed this type of power sense my last restaurant in 1980. I love the power and the compact size.

Clean, solid, unit - but underpowered.
This 10" slicer is pretty nice for the money. It is better than any big box slicer by a mile but doesn't quite stack up to a truly professional grade machine.

Positives:
+ All aluminum cast body.
+ Nice sliding motion of carriage.
+ Built in sharpener.
+ Small footprint and easy to pick up and move.
+ Rubber feet keep unit secure on counter while cutting.
+ Easy to clean but there are a few hard to reach places.
+ Fully adjustable cutting thickness w/ large adjustment knob.
+ Plastic covered "on/off" switch.
+ Adequate cord length.
+ Not convinced this is a Stainless Steel blade. It corrodes where sharpened. Must be chromed steel.

Negatives:
- Not a Stainless Steel blade.
- Blade flexes while cutting. Mine was not perfectly flat so it bobs around as it cuts. It needs to be thicker and more substantial to get a great cut. It can not cut cheese straight or dense salami meats.
- Motor is under...
